Communication Process
- Send you an email from when visit is completed
- You will receive a copy of assessment report and identify any issues of concern
- We will send you a selection of time stamped photos of the of your home as proof of each visit
- We will send photos of any identified problem area
Interior Home Watch Process
- Walk interior home, perform a visual check of doors, windows, locks, points of entry for signs of vandalism
- Run all water sources; taps, toilets, and showers, showers to move old water and ensure gaskets and seals don’t dry out and are free of leaks
- Check electric panel for tripped breakers
- Clean doorway, entry area to remove debris, signs of no one home
- Confirm home temperature is as requested
- Check for unusual odours, noises or sounds
- Removal, recycle or place/store newspapers, flyers
- Collect and place/store Mail (if Requested)
- Check fridge, freezer, and appliances are all working normally.
- Check furnace, A/C, hot water tank, Water purifier, & Softener (*etc as identified)
- Visual check for any signs of leakage, other potential concerns
- Select lighting to leave on or place timers (*timers provided by VIP)
- Ensure all doors and windows are locked
- Check for internet WiFi signal
- Visually check for pest or insect infestation
- Visually check for signs of mold and mildew
- Arm security system upon departure
- Short cycle dishwasher and washing machine to clear lines and prevent seals from drying. (If Requested)
- Check smoke detectors and replace batteries (for a small additional fee + cost of batteries).
- Make sure the chimney flue is closed to maintain heat and keep out pests.
- Check the garage or carport for general cleanliness and report any issues.



Exterior Home Watch Process
- Walk the perimeter of the property and check for any signs of break-in or vandalism
- Walk around exterior on house and any outbuildings for signs of break-in, damage and pests.
- Check that irrigation is running properly and there are no leaks.
- Check for snow load during the winter and any snow plowing is being done by clients contractor.
- Visual check of property for any abnormalities.
- Check that all lighting is working and replace any burned out bulbs (Cost of bulbs billed to client)
- Run and drive vehicle (if requested), check tire pressure, battery and oil. Odometer photos supplied with report.
- Check all out buildings, dock, golf green, tennis court, gym, hot tub & pool
